Managing Conflict in the Workplace

The Australian Institute for Facilitative Practice has developed a comprehensive framework for First Nations peacemaking initiatives across Australia. This framework seeks to provide a blueprint for fostering respectful, inclusive, and enduring involvement of First Nations People in the management of conflict impacting on their lives, and their communities.

Introduction

Purpose

The Framework for First Nations Peacemaking (or “FFNP”) informs the minimum requirements for establishing place-based, culturally responsive, and sustainable First Nations Peacemaking Programs in Australia.

Application

This framework applies when individuals or groups are seeking endorsement as a ‘Registered First Nations Peacemaking Program’ in Australia; together with the registration of ‘First Nations Peacemakers’ in relation to and conducting peacemaking processes as defined in Section 2 of the Practice Standards.
